According to the Kool Seal website, it is sold at Home Depot and other big name hardware stores. I've looked up here in Canada at Home Depot, and it isn't there. A local hardware store was advertising "Extra Durable Roof Cement" made by Bakor. It is described as "a premium grade rubberized blend of selected asphalt and fillers". Sounds pretty much idential to the Kool Patch. It's cheap too, $8 CDN for 4kg. As long as we're talking about insulation and sound: - I'm trying to do some of the bulley recommeded work (http://www.shagadelic.org/VW/info/gmbulley-soundproof/) and can't locate "Kool Patch by Kool Seal." Anyone in the Seattle area -- heck, Washington state, (heck, Western US?) find a source? I've found lots of other brands, but none seem to have the consistency he touts. They are either really thin and probably won't allow the thickness of application he recommends, or too thick and need a trowel to apply. None of the big boxes, local hardware stores, or specialty roofing stores or suppliers stock them. Any ideas? Thanks!
