In the directions on Franks web site he says to cut the white wire and the yellow wire comming off the multi function switch (turn signals, hi/low beam selector). All the wires in that harness on mine were green. One was green w/ yellow stripe and another was green/white. I cut into these and ran to the relay. I have to assume these are the ones because everything seems to work??? Anyone have the wires like this? Only thing that concerns me is I cut something else completly different from the headlights and won't notice till later. Randy, the wires from the headlight dimmer switch should be 12 gauge, white and yellow wires which lead to the back of the fuse/relay panel. If you have found different wires then I do not know what they are as they have not been found in any of the vans I have installed the relay kit. Now, I can say I have not seen everything VW has done so that leaves a lot to be seen. I just looked in the Bentley manual in all the wiring diagrams for all years and variations and without exception the wires from the headlight dimmer switch are 12 gauge yellow and white wires. If your headlights are functioning correctly then you should be fine but I cannot understand what you've come across. One small test now would be to remove the relays one at a time and see if the headlamps on one side cease to function. I would be interested in knowing the results of that test. Let me know what you find.
