Can you see the arrows or marks on the piston tops?
The arrows point towards the flywheel sometimes there are other markings
that indicate this.

Let me start by saying I don't know. That said here's some thoughts. The
cylinders I believe are symmetrical. Means nothing different on either side
but the casting marks, that should mean they can run inside the water jacket
at any angle with no problem. With respect to the followers I would be more
concerned with any "dishing" (wear) than which hole they go back into. Of
course it would be nice to go back into the respective holes but I do not
believe it will be an issue.
