Subject: FS: rare '83 diesel 5 SPEED vanagon w/ gas heater and sunroof
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"
for sale: rare '83 vanagon diesel 5 speed w/ eberspacher DA-6 Auxillary gas
(diesel) fueled heater (in addition to the regular heater) has removeable
flip up glass sunroof over front seats (appears to be a vw acessory - the
curveature fits the roof like stock) body is very solid - no dents or rust..paint
all orig. interior is tan "leatherette" but i have a tan velour GL weekender
interior or carat interior that would look nice in it (extra). Body has 183k
but it sure doesnt seem like it.. this van obviousy wasn't driven in the
winters here. its got a 1.7L diesel engine w/ only 30k mi on it that was installed
by the PO and it has the orig 1.6L diesel engine that came w. it too, that has
a new head on it. van isnt currently running (PO put the low mileage 1.7L in
and didnt finish hooking it up) but im going to try to get it running.
price depends on how much time i spend with it, less if it goes as-is.
this van would be EXCELLENT for a TDI or Biodiesel engine swap, or a gas
engine swap (1.8, or 2.0 gas will bolt right in w/ minor mods- should fly w/ the 5
speed!!! GTI vanagon!! ) or just left as is w/ the 1.7L diesel.. i should
have pics next week..
p-mail me for details..
located 45min N. of philly
