While we're here :), please give my your recommendations: I've got Terry's relays and love the set up. It has worked great since putting them on about last spring or maybe early summer. This last weekend I went through 2 stock headlight switches in less than 24 hours. I had driven with my brights on and the Hella 550's (installed a couple months ago) for much of the trip down to Moab the day before the first failure. I put the Hellas onto the stock wires near the stock headlights and am wondering if that is just too much for the relays of Terry's I put on. I'm planning on wiring the Hella's directly to the battery now, with their own relay and switch am pretty sure that will solve the problem, but am curious about some expert views/opinions. I'm not even close to being an adequate electrician so am looking for some 'sperts views.

Thanks for any ......

Bob

Terry Kay, long time list member, sells a really sweet headlight relay kit for $30. The wires are the right matching colors and it installs cleanly to the 86+ relay panel. It uses genuine 2 VW relays and 2 relay sockets and it retains the stock headlight fuse layout. Instructions included.

I have bought a few kits from him and he also has them on Ebay.
