Better Idea - just make a huge paper mache or fiberglass egg too encase your Vanagon.

That will pretty much take care of the drag and the co-efficients.

No, you won't win the world's largest egg contest but at best you will be the world's fastest egg.

At worst , if you crack-up you will make the world's largest omelet.

A box with half an egg attached... hmmm... Why not just buy a Toyota Previa install the body over a Vanagon drivetrain? Better yet, dirve it as it is.

But then many of us own Vanagons because we like the way the look more so than the way they run.
