If you read about the 2WD Westy springs available on syncro.org it states that an 85 Westy has the highest ride height from the factory, while the 86 and up are almost as high. When comparing my 85 to my 87 syncro they are pretty much the same height. Every time I park my bus next to another vanagon, people ask if it is lifted or a syncro, but they are the original sagging butt springs.
