I found that getting the old one out was pretty easy - I was able to push it out from above by using a long, thin srewdriver through the opening in the floor for the e-brake.

Getting the new one back in was a total PITA, though. I had to lay on my back under the van, crane my neck up and use two long screwdrivers at full arm extension to press it in. I found that by putting a trouble light in front of the gas tank, the illumination from that direction helped.
