Hey All,
First i want to thank everyone for there kind help in filing in all the
info i needed in order to know for sure that that 84 auto trans would
fit into an 89.
Hat's off to everyone.. you guys are such a huge help.. i am thankful...
The auto trans i bought has 100,000 miles on it.. and has been in
storage for the last ten years... what should i do to bring it up to
snuff if you will before the install..
i know the basics like drain all fluid and replace.. filter... ect.
ect. but should i replace for example drive seals.. if they are showing
no signs of wear? Would they dry out over a ten year span if stored
indoors?
I guess while i have it out of the van.. i don't want to have to mess
with it once it's in...plus.. should i buy a rebuilt torque converter?
or just use my old one?
any help on this matter would be grand...
