Okay, it sounds like my concern about the complications with future body work on sound-deadened panels is legitimate. I think, as some have suggested, a reasonable alternative is to only cover a small section of a panel, to get most of the noise reduction, and mitigate future hassle w/ body repair.

The b-quiet instructions state that applying a second layer provides "up to 3x the deadening effect." So maybe applying a small square of multiple layers to each panel would be the way to go.

Using a milder adhesive along w/ non-adhesive construction material (roofers felt or otherwise) also seems like a good possibility. Maybe for the ding prone panels like front door and slider. OTH, the front doors are more prone to moisture, so a tighter bond against the metal may be desirable?

The potential of rust beneath of the self-stick deadening material, should it delaminate from the metal, was brought up. That had occurred to me. But, this stuff is SO sticky and fairly flexible, it's hard to imagine that happening. I wonder, could you apply a small bead of sealant around the edge of the material to prevent moisture from seeping under?

And... Has anyone had problems w/ reinstalling carpet over deadener in the "contoured" areas like the front seat bases? Fitment? Re-gluing?

Thanks,

James
