Trusted VW mechanic with decades of experience tells me it is very important when seek a used auto tranny that it has *not* set unused for any significant amount of time. I heard that as being a year or more. he indicates the seals will be damaged by inaction and drying. Let us know how the 10 year old tranny works. Hope you disprove this theory.
