About a month ago.  I bought a Do-All vertical bandsaw which was represented
as complete and in good condition.  Although it wasn't under power when I
entered the highest bid, the auctioneer had no objections to me tagging it into a
box in order to run it through its paces before I loaded it.  I can assure you
that the auctioneer would have made it right if it had proven to be anything
other than in good condition.  I think it has something to do with them
retaining their license.

Now, imagine if you bid on a boxcar load of Idaho bakers, something which is
done daily by some, and the boxcar is really filled with B red potatoes.  Do
you think the auction house is just going to cut a check to the seller and say
"tough spuds" to you?  Hardly.

Remember, only a very few auctions are for somebody's old Tupperware.
