Subject: what steering gear grease?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

What grease is OK for the steering gear? Bentley says "Only use special steering gear grease Part No. AOF 063 000 04 to lubricate steering gear." Any idea what is an equivalent from FLAPS?

I'm just doing some cursary cleaning and greasing of the rod and ball joint that is under the steering gear boot while I am replacing the cracked steering gear boots. But I'm afraid to lubricate anything in there with wheel bearing grease for fear it will clash with the "steering gear grease." I have manual steering.

Thanks Jeff 83.5 Westy LA,CA
