I don't have the part number in front of me but I recently replaced the resistor in my heater on my '84 7-pass. I got it from Volks Cafe'. VW had replaced the old cylindrical resistor with a shorter square one that I had to rig up a sort of harness for to make it fit snuggly in the spot for the old one. Took a bit of futzing around with it (especially because you do want to have anything that could potentially conduct and or burn holding the thing. Email me off list if you need anymore help...
