Just thought I'd relay some info on cleaning the poptop now that spring is upon us. I was preparing to install new seals around my 85 poptop and thought I should clean the fiberglass while I was at it. It had the appearance of a heavily oxidized dull finish. I used 3M Marine fiberglass cleaner. Holy Cow!!! What a difference!! It actually has as shine to it now! I recommend using a drill or buffer to really work the stuff in but good ol elbow grease will work to. With the new seals in place, a new Westfalia sticker applied, she looks brand new! |
