THe title said it all.. My daily driver Syncro lost its gas tank friday. Both straps rusted away, and the fuel tank is now sitting on the tranaxle. I've got some ideas. At work we have this stainless steel strap, that we use to box up machines. I'm going to find a way to attach this right under what is left of the original setup. Anyone have any other ideas for a cheap fix? Eric, and all you Syncro owners. This is occurring on ALL Syncros. Go have a look ! Funny the tank fell out though as every Syncro tank I've tried to remove required the use of large pry bars to get it unstuck from its location. One of the big problems with the OEM installation is that they put that silver insulation on the bottom of the tank and any rustproofing that was ever done to the vehicle did not reach the other side of that silver crap and therefore rusting of all the components on the back side is prevalent. Cheers,
