Subject: Re: Alternative way of reinstalling cylinder liner
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi, Just wondering whether anyone has tried succesfully reinserting the cylinder liner back in to the block. I had accidentally pushed the cylinder out from the piston after the heads were removed. Now it looks like I may have to drop the engine completely to reinstall it. Anyone tried using some kind of wax or dry ice to hold the rings in place so that the cylinder can slide back in ? or is there a ring compression tool available that will work for the vangon engine ?

Thanks

Terry
