On this subject, I have a lot of 'crud' in my tank which keeps blocking my filter. The tank is a replacement one and looks good on the outside. You can hear the pump cavitating as it tries to pump the gas (strange humming noise), due to the filter getting blocked and restricting flow. The end point is restriction in flow to the point that the engine cannot accelerate due to the injection pressure being too low. The crud in the filter is rust - how do I clean and rust-proof the inside of the tank - can it be flushed by someone without removing? Or should I pull it and flush with rust proofer?
