Hey, Okay, I know I am not the only one. 87 syncro with rattling shifter, quite annoying. From what I read in the archives its a plastic wrap on the shifter T that wears down. Anybody come up with a product that can be used? I have not taken mine apart yet but I am guessing the stuff you can buy for headlamps to protect them may work? Perhaps some RTV Silicone, or "goop" product. Ya gotta love "goop" that stuff is a miracle product. Anyway, anybody new to dealing with this to line out my job please let me know. On a similar note where can I get the little square plastic pieces for the pop top arms to keep them from rattling against the body when down? any good fixes. I am thinking some rubber feet from ACE. ?? Thanks Doug |
