In a message dated 4/2/2004 2:20:44 AM Pacific Daylight Time, JordanVw writes: what color is it? could be just a victim of "badge engineering"....its not hard to slap some wolfsburg edition medallions onto a car.. sounds like a regular '89 GL to me that someone just popped some badges on from another vehicle.. if youve seen my van, its the ultimate in "badge engineering" :<) I'll check the "production date" and "date first sold data" tomorrow. That ought to shed some light. The badge appeared very well done of it was indeed self installed. I had it side-by-side with another Wolfy. Color is white. Very funky horn button. It's plastic like the early wheels but is the smaller diameter with cushy grips. Oh yeah, no alloy wheels. No PW, PM, or PL. But then my 88 Wolfy doesn't have PW or AC. It was apparently possible to special order options here.
