Subject:      speedo noise

My speedo has a new slight clicking or ticking noise that increases both in
volume and frequency with speed. It sounds like a plastic kind of click. Not
really noticable until about 30 MPH and never really all that loud. The needle
flutters ever so slightly in sync. with the noise. Can I beat this with some
light lube to the gears in the speedo? Or could it be the cable?
