Well, I've been very fortunate to have been driving Westfalias for almost 30
years.  I'm on my third one, a nice '88 model.  They've always been very
reliable and faithful.  I've never had to do too much to them to keep them
going - I did have to rebuild the engine on the previous one I had.

Well, my luck ran out this afternoon.  I was rear ended on the way home.
Not a bad incident as those things go - just busted up my rear bumper,
dented a little of the sheet metal around the taillights and muffler.  No
one was injured - thank goodness.  The person who hit me had taken her eyes
off the road to see about the toddler in the back seat - just for a second.

I really am glad everything on my van seems ok mechanically, she's a good
hunk with a lot of miles left on her.  But she's wounded.  I need a new rear
bumper and bumper tail piece that goes on the driver's side.  Yes, the
bumper is one of those black fiberglass items, so I don't expect that VW has
them in stock any more.  So I'm going to the list.  Any ideas where I might
find one?
