Try putting the antenna under the luggage rack towards one side. The fiberglass will not affect the signal. When packing stuff in the luggage rack keep metal things like coleman stoves off to the other side, since metal can block the signal. The antenna is designed to be used on a metal surface at least a foot square. I think this is to ensure proper grounding or something like that and not because of the magnet part. The wider sticky-tape 6 inch part where the wire enters the antenna is intended to make sure it is at least that far from the edge. It will work on a non-metal surface such as just sitting on your dash but not as well. Run the wire under the luggage rack seal in through the corner of your poptop front window screen. Just zip it open, run the wire, zip it closed. Leave a little slack for when the poptop is open. Roll the slack wire into the poptop fabric when you bring it down. Bring the wire down behind the curtains and sink cabinet and run it to the tuner. Works great for me and everything is hidden.
