Subject: white pop top screw clean up
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hello- I got some of the white painted pop top screws from Rennie at Power VW in Torrance about a year ago to replace the rusted screws in my white pop top. These are the 4 screws that secure the luggage rack and the eight that secure the hinges on the rear of the pop top.

I just replaced the rusted screws with the new ones and HOLY COW!!! What a difference. I can't believe how good it makes the white pop top look--like brandy new. (the old screws were completely functional, just looked bad and decrepit with the rusted heads.)

Just in case anyone is suffering the same kind of ugliness on their bus, I recommend this easy clean up. The catch is, I think VWOA was running low on the screws when I bought them, but possibly a list vendor has some replacements. The part number is 255 070 908 F.

I'm gonna go back and sit in the driveway admiring my work. Best, Jeff 83.5 Westy LA,CA
