Subject: Bench testing new rebuild...............no oil pressure!

My own rebuild. I got it on a dolly, hooked up a bell housing to it. It is a 2.1l motor. I have my oil pressure gauge screwed into the case near the crank pulley. I cranked it, and first got great compression...190+. Then I kept cranking to generate oil pressure. The needle does not flicker at all. Plenty of oil in it. What did I miss?
