Recently there was a discussion thread about "What Spare Parts to Carry".

I thought it might be useful to share what parts I had to replace after 40,000 miles & over one year on the road..

Fan Belts = 3 Distributor O-Ring Spark Plugs 1 set Dist Cap = 1 Water Pump = 1 Starter = 1 Left Rear Wheel Bearings = 1 set (problem with axle stub being round of round) Exhaust System Gaskets = 2 Ignition Switch = 1 X Circuit Relay = 1 Headlight switch = 1 Lower Alternator Bracket = 1 Headlight = 1 Front Turn Signal Lens = 1 Misc exterior Bulbs = 4

Note ... please keep in mind that all the above parts where replaced as new before the trip began.
