The calipers are frozen. Time for rebuild or replacement.

I have dragging front brakes on my somewhat recently purchased 82 Diesel Westy. The brakes have been dragging from the time I bought the vehicle.

I pulled both front wheels, and everything *looks* fine. The pads are in good condition, etc etc etc. Of course, these are disc brakes.

What causes dragging brakes? These drag enough to create an odor, so it's worrisome.

Thanks,

jon
