As you can see it depends on who you ask as to what the best conversion is. To answer your question, Yes most people are still using at least parts from the Kennendy Kit. There are a few other shops making parts like Small Cars and H&R Motor. For more information and less debate I would check out the Subaruvanagon yahoo group.
