ive met a bunch of folks over the years who were diesel freaks.. whether it be the new TDI's, or the older turbo diesels of the 80's, i know quite a few people who are into diesels.. i know a local guy who has his yard filled with A1/A2 golf/jetta diesels, turbo diesels, and a 81 diesel vanagon.. all he drives are vw diesels..he is a total diesel freak.. and he just recently acquired a '98 new beetle tdi.. so anyway i think there is a big diesel following out there, they just appeal to a certain type of people.. and the fact that they can be made to run on grease and lard makes them even more appealing to some.. :<) im guessing more new TDI's will be sold this summer as gas prices keep hiking up...ive seen alot more new vw TDI's on the road lately....

"i'll run free cooking waste oil in my vw's before i pay $2.50 a gallon for unleaded gasoline" he told me..

to each his own.. chris
