Hi Bob, I has the same thing happen to me. Two transaction amounts, one for about $700 and the other for $400, were repeated several weeks later. I discovered that someone had hacked into my account and added an email address - theirs. Don't ask me how. They had then carried out two PayPal transactions to a third party (unknown, with an email address that has now vanished) using identical amounts to the two genuine transactions, presumably so I wouldn't notice. My credit card company refunded the money immediately, but I'm still in dispute with PayPal over this. I'm not sure I want my account back, but there are times when PayPal is particularly useful, so I will probably jump through all the hoops PayPal are asking me to. Tony '85 and '95 Vanagons |
