Has anyone had success cleaning Moly grease from clothing? I made he mistake of thinking I could wear a good pair of short pants when pushing the grease I added in my CV boots toward the bearings. I thought I could avoid any grease on my clothing. Wrong. (When will I learn?) I tried to clean it with soap, paint thinner and gasoline. Nothing worked. I've decided the only method that will work is gasoline then a match to burn them up and then buying a new pair of pants. By the way the grease gun tubing injector method Stan Wilder came up with seems to have worked well. No more clunking sounds coming from the problem area-- (Yet.) It took the final step of forcing the grease toward the bearings to complete the process. Before that, the clunking sound that happened only when cold was less after the grease injection and quieter, but now is gone and CV joints sound normal (I.E., no sound.) Any ideas for cleaning clothing anyone.? William |
