Subject: syncro tach ques
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

hey all, i posted this question a couple days a ago but i will post again for some more insight. are the tachs in a syncro the same as tachs in 2wd vanagons? i am using a tach from a 2wd in my syncro and the rpms seems to be reading a hair off. also, when i fill up with gas to full, the gauge only reads 3/4 full, now i am not a pessimist but i would like it to read properly. is that due to the tachs being different? or is something else going on here? also, do syncros go as fast as 2wd vans? the reason i am asking is because my speedo is not working and when i am at 4000 rpms in my syncro it feels like 63 or 64 when i am at 4000 in my 90 gl it reads 70 mph. any insight here is greatly appreciated thanks jason 87 westy syncro project almost done!
