It is always a good idea to identify approximate years for this type of question. By the term "old weekender" I will assume you don't mean Mike Miller.=)

Most people refer to the Weekender as the Westfalia base camper. This is the one with the poptop. I am assuming this is what you refer to. Simply put, anything will fit if you have enough patience. If you are installing a bench from this vehicle into a Vanagon, it is reasonably easy to do so without much fanfare.

The Westy Weekenders that have plastic panels, also have a side mount extension which screws into the walls. The benches are actually narrower than the regular buses. The extensions allow then to be bolted on to your bus. Pretty much everything can be retrofitted. I won;t go too much into detail here as this had been well covered in the archives. Pmail me if you need additional info.

If you are looking at a van with a Weekender package (no poptop, etc.), then you are just talking about the rear bench and middle seat. I don;t think this is what you mean though.
