A while ago a new member of our community introduced
herself to us.

Joy E. Hecht (jhecht@alum.mit.edu)had just purchased a
Beautiful, Maroon, 1989 Vanagon Westy.

But even more incredible, she had just begun an Adventure
of a lifetime.

Like a few of us intrepid Gypsy's, Joy divested herself
of worldly possessions, moved into her Westy and began an
odyssey of travel and adventure.

Best of all she is chronicling her experiences,
aptly titled ...   "Tales of a 21st Century Gypsy" on

Although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Joy in person,
I have been following her journey thru her incredible writings.

Web site and enjoy her very unique writings on Travel, VW's, People,
Life, Living, Dying, Friends, Relationships and on and on and on.

All the things one thinks about and mediates upon while "On the Road".

BTW .... Hopefully, next week I'll have the pleasure of meeting Joy at
EveryBus in North Carolina.

Lets all be on the look out for a Maroon Westy with Bikes on the back
and Kayak on the roof and help Joy have a "Journey of a Lifetime".
