Subject: 89 Camper - Smelly fridge
Content-Type: text/plain;charset=iso-8859-1

Hola listees!

Last year I had trouble getting the fridge to cool properly on propane. So, I recently did a major cleaning of the propane components (burner, jet, etc) and added a new external and internal fan. Now it cools great.

After getting everything back in place and lighting that baby up, I started to smell a slight propanish odor inside the van after it had been parked for a couple of hours. It doesn't smell like straight propane, more like exhaust from the burner. The smell immediately goes away if the van is moving. This leads me to believe it is a vent or vent pipe issue.

My questions to the list are: 1. Has anyone else noticed this sort of thingy? 2. What, if anything, can be done to remedy the problem?

Thanks for any help, -- -monty
