Skin so soft may not work for mosquitos, but it sure works well for sand flies (those little bitey ones at your favourite warm beach...). It seems that the little flies get all gummed up by the greasy lotion.

DEET works, but it's pretty nasty stuff to apply to something porous like skin. Long sleeves and pant legs work well too.

I live in Winnipeg, and I know a few things about mosquitos and what works to repell them.

1. Skin-so-Soft working as a mosquito repellent is a wive's tale. It has a very small effect, and it wears off very quickly. That's been proven. Avon just took advantage of this popular myth to promote the product.
