i wasnt going to say anything about this little "how to" but since everyone else is giving their 5 fingered input i might as well too. (if someone didnt already mention this technique) if you want to get into your own van (notice i said get into YOUR OWN van), and dont have a key, the easiest way is to pry out the little plastic sliding window track guides at the bottom of your sliding windows...you know, the ones that are probably disentigrated on your van anyway.. theyre like $1 ea from the dealer new so its no loss. anyway with these sliding window track guides out you can push up on the sliding window glass, which jumps the lock up over the slots in the track that it locks into.. then simply slide the window back, reach in and lift the lock button. no damage, no broken glass, you can still close your window, and youre on your way. Now if you want to start your vanagon without a key, you just..... ehh.. maybe that's too much info :<) chris |
