I must preface by typing this: Any wisdom from anyone who has done this job before would be welcomed. I don't want to miss anything while I have it out, and don't want to do anything stupid before or during re-installation. Now for my story... I removed the A/T from my 1989 Carat over the weekend. I had one stubborn CV bolt, but with a little convincing she finally gave way. Removing the Auto Trans was really straight forward, and I did not even have a second pair of hands. The worst part of the job was all the grime and sludge falling in my face, hair, eyes, & mouth, while lying under the engine disconnecting everything. Andy Y.
