Hi Bill, Sounds like a clutch master cylinder. You'll find it at the base of the steering column. Look under the front of the van in the vicinity of the front washer reservoir there your may find evidence of the passing of brake fluid. Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 7:13 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Brake Fluid Loss I seem to have lost all my brake fluid again but the last time (Jan) it was the master cylinder and I found fluid all over the rug. But this time, I'm having trouble finding good evidence of what has failed. There is a little fluid on the lower steering column but not enough to account for the whole reservoir and the area around the master cylinder isn't noticeably wet. Nothing else I've looked at seems to be leaking, so what am I missing? What's the most likely suspect? Thanks in advance. Bill H. 88 Silver GL Pittsburgh
