The type 4 engines have huge problems with fuel accumulation in the oil
because of long warn up times in the cooler winter months no T stats and
basic lack of proper tuning. I have had 3 customers bring back newly rebuilt
engines with severe damage due to gas dilution in the last 6 months 2 of
these where air cooled type 4 engines that seized and 1 2.1 engine with
.250ths ring gap and low oil pressure after 8,000 miles. All three engines
stunk of fuel and the shop reeked for days
This is completely avoidable does your gas smell like oil and when you rub
it between your fingers is it gritty or slippery try changing the oil to
20/50.
going faster miles an hour
