While I'm not sure if you absolutely need a double regulator I just got one at the local RV store for $19 with the plastic cover. Singles are not much less and I don't know if you can get the cover. Why screw around with propane? Keep it like was from the factory. Just my $.02 Kevin

I always thought the reason for the double regulator was safety...something about keeping the full tank pressure from getting into the vehicle if the regulator fails.
