I expect to be heartily chastised for this, but I've got a 1990 vanagon that I stopped driving about 3 years ago because it was in need of the dreaded head gasket repair.  Now I'm finally in the position to do the repair, but I'm wondering what other problems may be lurking since it's been sitting for so long (a couple annual startups, but that's it).  Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
