I have an old 8" bazooka...  ;>)
It just fits under the jumpseat and the seat keeps it in place.  Not the
best as far as looks, but it can always be removed instantly with the
quick-release wires.  I listen to some bass-heavy music and I've always been
satisfied with its sound.
Bass is omnidirectional, but hiding them in the furniture muffles the sound
and you have to turn it up to hear it, and then you get poor bass and make
everyone around you listen to it.
