No loop in the end of mine.
Once unrolled and extended, you roll them "under" by hand, then place them
into the aluminum tray. No springs, no automatic anything. Very easy to put
up, take down, use, adjust. The supports that go back to the van and to the
ground pull out of the ends of the roll easily.
I've drilled some small holes in the bottom to let any water that might
enter, drain. Although it's quite dry here, don't want to attract mildew.

For those who might have one of these, I noticed a small loop at one end.
Is this awning cranked in and out versis the spring loaded type like the
Catalina type awning?
