Well, I must be getting more patient in my old age. If it wont come apart now I go inside, grab a coors cutter and sit and get online and ask you guys instead of getting my big hammer. Careful study with a flashlight from the back of the cabinet revealed that the front face plate can actually move down 5/16 or so away from the top stainless cooktop 90 degree lip. My rubber mallet on the front edge knocked it loose, very tight in the middle as the face has a U channel the 90 locks into. Once free of the top it comes right off. Now the cooktop can slide back out of the slots in the cabinet work.

Presto!

Now I can get in there and get after all those cob webs under the stove.

Thanks!

Doug

Trying to disassemble the stove sink unit to paint the cabinet.

How the heck do you get the stove sink stainless tray out?

I have all the screws out and I have the front of the face plate loose but its locked together.

Do I have to pull the glued in molding off to get it free?

That would be really nuts if they built it that way.

Thanks,

Doug
