From memory:

Remove the arm rest, remove the vent at the rear of the door, remove the plastic "finger shield" under the door handle, carefully pop off door panel itself, carefully pull off the plastic wind shield under that. You might very well find that it's a small white rectangle of plastic connected to the winder mechanism itself that's failed. --------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young '81 Vanagon Lafayette, CA 94549 '82 Westfalia --------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sean Garrett" <SEAN.GARRETT@ASU.EDU> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 11:15 AM Subject: 1981 window dropped inside door

My 1981 dropped the window inside the door the other day. Now the crank will not pull the window up. How do I remove the door panel to fix this and what do I do when inside ?

Please reply pmail
