They all drain out the bottom.

If you go to an RV store like "Camping World", you can buy a portable greywater tank. They're blue, and have a cap that will accept a garden hose. They generally come with a piece of hose with female fittings on each end that's about a foot long. You screw one end to the drain fitting on the van, the other to the fitting on the tank, then remove the tank's vent cap. It works great.

The five-gallon model fits perfectly in the Westfalia luggage rack, if you don't want to carry it inside the van. If you stick it up there, though, you'll have other RV'ers honking and waving, trying to tell you what you already know. (That you left the tank on the roof!)
