Volks, Looks like I'm going to install the big brake kit on my '86 Westy. I've picked up a set of vintage 6.5X16" ET30 MB BBS rims that fit nicely and look sweet. Anyway, they've got a thick mounting surface which will require longer studs. I've got only about 1/4" of purchase on the stock rear studs. I know the big brake kit comes with new hubs with studs but I'm guessing they're not long enough. Two questions: What's the best source (easiest, quickest) for longer studs? Can I replace the rear studs without pulling the hub assembly? Thanks. Jeff Warner Galloway, OH '86 Wolfy Westy "Barry" '87 GL Weekender "Van Band" |
