You data goes into a file at the store and also (in some cases) is sent directly to the manufactuers of various goods depending on their contracts. This tells them purchasing patterns and such. This also affects what junk mail you get from the store. Fun. On all 'valued customer cards' I lie like hell. Also, keep in mind that this occurs ANYTIME you're name is associated with a purchase (like at the VW dealer, for instance). john |
