This is a pretty easy job to do. The splash guard is not removed.

Use something to prop up the engine. Remove the four bolts that hold the carrier on each side. Remove the lower attachments from the outer mounts - since they are at an angle. Remove the upper attachments (8mm nuts via universal 13mm socket) from the inner mounts. Carrier comes right out. Remove upper attachments from outer mounts to remove them.

Re-install in reverse order.

Should take about 60-90 minutes.
